Helvetas, Swiss Association for International Co-operation has promoted rural development for 30 years in Mozambique. Helvetas manages projects in rural and semi-urban areas of Cabo Delgado, Nampula, Maputo and Gaza provinces. Starting in the province of Cabo Delgado in 1979 with activities in the area of water and sanitation, Helvetas Mozambique is today running diverse programme activities in four provinces  with an annual budget of approximately 4 Mio Swiss Francs.

Helvetas Mozambique is part of Helvetas, Swiss Association for International Co-operation, a specialized Swiss development association founded in 1955 and currently working in more than twenty countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia.
